We Caught Up With Italian Enigma Giulia On the Set of Her Arthouse New Music Video
With her refreshingly on point lyrics and dynamically percussive musicality, we weren’t sure what to expect when we arrived on the set of Giulia’s brand new music video, or should we say three music videos… Italian fashionista turned singer songwriter Giulia has spent the past few years honing her Songwriting craft and discovering her authentic sound. 2018 saw her first release from this new era ‘Trippin’ Out’, and 2019 is set to uncover the remainder of the album.
Her newest album, as described by Giulia, is about freedom and having a free spirit. It is about following your heart and understanding that you, and you along, are best equipped to make your own decisions, it is about reclaiming your independence and becoming the person you always hoped you could be.
So what can we say about the shoot without giving too much away…? The shoot was an intergalactic, planetary delight. The trio of music videos (whilst all possessing different narratives) all share the space theme. This creates a link between the videos and provides a real arc; artistically, musically, and creatively. The styling (haute couture meets red carpet, with a dash of athletic wear) elevated the setting tenfold and the props helped bring the galactic vision to life.
With rumours of live performances throughout 2019, and the release of these three spectacular music videos, Giulia’s year looks to be out of this world…… Check out some behind the scenes photos from the day below!
