BRITs: The results are in!

BRITs: The results are in!

Brits week is over! The results are in, and the winners have been announced. But were our predictions right?

Stormzy took home the award for Male Solo Artist so we were right on the money with that one! However, Michael Kiwanuka missed out on the Mastercard Album of the Year as Dave’s Psychodrama pipped him to the post. Also deserved, though!

‘Someone You Loved’ was indeed the Song of the Year, with Capaldi also taking home the gong for Best New Artist.

I don’t think anyone could have predicted Mabel taking home Female Solo Artist over acts like FKA Twigs, but props to her! It’s always great to have new female artists being given a voice on awards like this one, and she’s still got so far to go!

International Female Artist went to Billie Eilish, who will certainly need to buy some more bookshelves after the awards season that she has had. While we were hoping for some justice for Lizzo, this award is still truly well-deserved for Eilish, who surely has a long and prosperous career ahead of her.
