Download is the latest festival to be cancelled this summer.
2020 is shaping up to be a pretty rough year…
The coronavirus continues to wreak havoc throughout the music industry. Download Festival, one of the biggest in the country after Glastonbury, has announced that it will not be going ahead this summer. This follows the announcement that Glastonbury will be postponed until the next summer, as well as countless smaller event cancellations of festivals, tours and shows.
During times like these, we urge you to continue to support your favourite artists by buying merch and streaming their music online. The music industry has always relied on live shows to make the majority of its money and now, with the absence of that, many smaller bands and artists will suffer.
Shop locally, buy or donate if you are able, and above all, stay safe, folks.
