Delena encourages us to push our emergency button

“For this to mean something, I really want to work for it.”

This is the mission statement from 25 year-old Delena, whose unique brand of dark, sophisticated alt-pop is already turning heads. Now, with her latest release, ‘SOS’, Delena taps into the present energy of a world in crisis, and brings us what can only be classified as the anthem of the apocalypse, in the form of a kiss-off song about someone who doesn’t deserve that text back.

Delena is fast making a name for herself as one of the UK’s most exciting new names in pop, with alternative aesthetic music videos racking up over 5 million streams. This Ukranian-born singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist is no stranger to hard work. Her perseverance and strength certainly comes out in her music, and new track ‘SOS’ is no exception.

“My hope is that I can release a better energy,” Delena says. “I have such a big desire to be successful, but not just for the sake of being successful. It’s because I want to prove to other people that it’s okay to come from where I’ve come from. And it’s okay, wherever you come from, and whatever your background, to dream of doing something extraordinary. I want to say, ‘Guys, it’s okay, I made it. Just have faith.’”
